Eressos and it's associated beach resort, Skala Eressou, are on the more rugged western side of the island. Eressos is a fairly peaceful little town, with great views of the rugged rock formations in the surrounding areas.
Skala Eressou is a fairly lively resort with a beautiful long sandy beach, which is particularly good for swimming. The beach is backed by many pretty little restaurants, most of which have a decking area at the front.
