Aspros Gatos - €€€
This very smart restaurant is on the road to the airport, up the next right turn after the turn for Pligoni. It is run by a very charming young lady called Emilia, who has set out to create what I consider to be a seriously good restaurant by any standards. When I visited they had a particularly interesting four cheese kedafi, some very nice shrimps with brown rice and a truly heavenly panna cotta, which my friend who has lived in Rome says is the genuine article. The wine list featured a good selection of both Greek and foreign wines. The service was very professional and attentive. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, if you feel like a change from the more traditional fare that is available in most places on the island.

Kohilia - €€
The main reason for including this beach bar is that it's only about 200 metres from the airport terminal and hence a good place to go if you have a bit of time to spare between checking in and boarding your flight. They do a good selection of drinks and juices as well as sandwiches and snack meals. You can see/hear flights coming in from here, so you won't miss your plane.
